What do you mean by "missing"? You are asked (on the third step, off the top of my head) if you have any MODs installed. If you select "Yes", you are asked on the next step to list your installed MODs.

Some users have either local or private boards (meaning they either cannot or do not want to disclose their board URL), hence it is not required,

Installed MODs are requested.

No fields are required, but a message is shown recommending filling out those fields when they are left empty - this is the desired behaviour.

I have gone ahead and added a new feature to the SRT generator -- the URL request field now checks to see if you are running a phpBB installation at the URL you specified. It does so by checking the page source for the link back to phpBB.com -- as such, boards without the copyright will also fail the check. It will simply display a warning, not a critical error, if this check is failed.

I would greatly appreciate it if any of you would mind toying with it to make sure it behaves as expected ;)

It appears as if the URL you supplied does not point to a phpBB board with a valid copyright. Ensure that the URL you entered points directly to your phpBB board and not the root of your domain, and that your board's copyright is intact. To edit your input, please click your browser's back button.
Test Board

the board has the full copyright intact, and lead directly to the board. :)

Is there any specific way we must enter the url?

It looks like you have to include the direct link to the board (including index.php).

Edit: I've just committed an update that I believe resolves this. It should roll out in a minute or two.

Initially I had the same issue. I supplied my board's URL without a trailing slash (and without index.php, obviously). With a slash (as well as with index.php), it's OK. Maybe something you can change.

It's due to the fact we are running PHP with safe mode here on phpbb.com. I am using cURL to grab the page source, and automatic redirect (as what happens when you just go to domain.com/folder instead of a specific location) is disabled. I committed a fix last night shortly after my above post.

Does "commited" also mean the code is live (I assumed it does, but now that I think about it, not so sure :))? Because I tested moments before my post :)

It should be... what is the URL you used?

The one from your signature. But I tried again, it works now. Maybe that "minute or two" was a little longer than you anticipated :)

I tested this URL functionality on 3 or 4 different sites. Seems to work OK, except apparently phpbb.com doesn't have a copyright, and a phpBB 2.0.x board passes the test as well.

Which brings me to another subject: this URL tester has a lot of potential if you think about it.

It only checks for the presence of a back link to http://www.phpbb.com/ the link on this board is different. ;) For the same reasons 2.0 boards will pass, I don't see that as a problem.

Awesome tool! Noticed it didn't have any option or fields for test account username and password when necessary.

Do you have a test account set up? [ ] Yes [ ] No

(if yes)
Test Account Username: ___________________
Test Account Password: ___________________

Again, great tool. First time filling out support wasn't a total pita.

I had an idea related to this that I thought I'd bring up...

What if we had it setup some way to do a related search or something so it would list related topics from the knowledge base or something like that which contains basic support information?
