I just used the support function to display my problem and I felt it worked very well. I can see how it would save time and effort by getting the answers to those questions out of the way up front.

If you observe any bugs in the generator, please report them to the Support Team's Bug Tracker.

However, it just doesn't plain work. I'll fix it now.

hi guys

I have Upload from Starfoxtj for phpbb2 but now I upgrade to phpbb3 but it doesnt work

Please is there anyway to make it work or is there any Mod similar to it

If you're having a problem with a MOD, then this topic is not the proper place to ask for help. By the way, MODs for phpBB2 do not work on phpBB3 and vice-versa. Therefore, the MOD you are talking about would not be converted to phpBB3 even though you upgraded to phpBB3. You would have to find a similar MOD that works on phpBB3. I would suggest asking in the MOD Requests forum.

No, the SRT is a service that we provide on this site. The system itself won't be released to public (but it isn't hard to build something like this yourself ).

I think they're after the toolkit (STK), not the template (SRT).

I notice that often a confusion arises on the term "Fresh install".
I would suggest to add a question "Did you upgrade this board from a previous phpBB3 version?". If that question is answered with "YES", the version before upgrade could be asked.

I agree. There was once instance where someone answered "fresh install" and then later had "update the Board from phpBB 3.0.5 to 3.0.6". I replied with "which is it" and one of the support team members (I won't mention names) told me that by conversion they mean from v2, so both could be correct. I think HGN's suggestion is great (for what it's worth, if anything)!

Well, I didn't expect immediate follow up of my suggestion, but somehow I was counting on somekind of respons of a team member:

No, we don't need that additional question because we do not notice this confusion;
Thanks for the suggestion, but it is not a top priority question for the template;
Yes, reasonable suggestion, we might add it to the template somedays.

Apologies for this taking so long (should've got a topic notification email from your original post but apparently missed it). That being said, it's been implemented.

In the future, if you have change suggestions for the SRT Generator that have legitimate reasoning (much like this one), please feel free to report them to the Support Team Tools Bugtracker and I will try to implement them post haste.

I've used it only once and the spammers registering i recieved on my web page went from 0 and i mean 0, spam botters registering to over 6 a day from the day after i posted my url on the support form template.
There is no question in my mind spammers used this form / these forums and are now targetting my website. I won't be adding it again for this reason and i ask perhaps if it's possible to enter the website URL but only mods / admin on here can view it?
Bar that complaint i can see it being a valuable tool for you guys to help others quickly.
