I've just ran the 3.0.5 to RC2 automatic updater, and I've only got 7 conflicts this time, as opposed to 17 when using 3.0.5 to RC1 automatic updaterAcyd Burn wrote: This second release candidate contains mostly regression fixes. We also tested the automatic updater with some heavily modified boards and were able to significantly decrease it's failure rate.
The automatic updater is now able to detect and solve most usual conflicts and only shows conflicts for lines where a MOD/User changed the same line as we did. The updater also resolves SVN $Id$ conflicts on it's own.
This - and some fixes to the updater - results in a lot less conflicts and therefore a much more pleasant update experience.
Well let me extend my thanks, as it's so much better. I've been through the conflicting files, and the actual conflicts don't affect the running of the board from what I can tell so far. Just small cosmetic changes I made, like removing the Forum title from viewtopic.php.ToonArmy wrote:A lot of work went into improving it.matt1206 wrote:I've just ran the 3.0.5 to RC2 automatic updater, and I've only got 7 conflicts this time, as opposed to 17 when using 3.0.5 to RC1 automatic updater
Not all plugins offer that functionality, especially not on login and posting, where attempts are unlimited.Christian_N wrote:Sorry for my bad english, by the register give the "Refresh confirmation code", but missing the "Refresh confirmation code" by new topic/post as Guest.
