phpbb+wiki?

Post by Bill_Thompson »

Since there is a blog mod, how about a way to tie in a wiki?
At least, is there a way for them to share user's accounts such that they would not have to log in twice?

On the basis of what Akea said, why don't you use MediaWiki and try this tutorial for phpBB3 login integration: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension ... ntegration. It's an official article on MediaWiki's website, so it should be able to help you. Of course, this is just a suggestion for you.

I have found that the problem with this plugin results in losing all admin prvilidges.

If you apply this plugin then ensure you have completely set up the wiki before releasing it. I am forced to remove the plugin if i have to make changes which require admin status.

The plugin essentially creates a new Mediawiki account upon first login of the phpBB account. phpBB is then used for authentication, Mediawiki permissions are gained from the Mediawiki database. You can then add this new user to the respected groups in Mediawiki for proper permissions.
