PHP Version 5.2.13
Sorry should have clarified a bit... what I don't understand is that the phpinfo tells me I'm running 5.2.13, but phpBB tells me I'm running 4.4.9 and displays the "The version of PHP on this server will no longer be supported by future versions of phpBB. Details" message in the ACP. Also there is no discernible way to change what version of PHP I'm using in the 1&1 control panel, so I don't understand why it would be using 4 and not 5.eviL<3 wrote:What I see is:PHP Version 5.2.13
Indeed. My first suggestion would be to rename that phpinfo.php5 to phpinfo.php and see what it reports then.eviL<3 wrote:Probably you host is set up to run *.php on PHP4 and *.php5 on PHP5.
As has always been the case, we do not attempt to predict release dates. There are simply too many variables to take into account. I would say "by the end of the year" is a reasonable estimate.maggolo wrote:Hi ToonArmy,
and can you give a state when 3.1 will be released?
Six months for betas and RCs?Marshalrusty wrote:I would say "by the end of the year" is a reasonable estimate.
Such major architectural changes won't be made in 3.x line. If anything, the move away from our own DBAL would be done in 4.x and no sooner. There is already preliminary notes for something like this on the wiki: http://wiki.phpbb.com/display/DEV/PhpBB4+DBAL+Componentt_backoff wrote:I'm curious, will 3.1.x support PDO or will the development team continue to use their own DBAL? If I may just add my thoughts, the phpBB DBAL is pretty powerful, but PDO doesn't require phpBB to maintain it's own backend. Thoughts?
