Someone has installed Almsamim WYSIWYG Editor 0.0.9

I found a new beta of the editor "Almsamim WYSIWYG Editor 0.0.9" I wanted to know if someone has already installed this editor phpbb3.0.6 and how she has gone!

Although I see the official web anda fall several days!

PS: I always wondered how PHPBB3 may not yet have a WYSIWYG editor that works!

phpbb is a bulletin board software, not a word processor and not a web page creator.
it, like all bulletin boards is really designed for basic text messages.

If you want to create a document or a web page, then do so using the appropriate software and then just link to it in a post to your bulletin board.

Two possible reasons: the developers don't want to include it (which I fully support, all editing should be done using BBCodes), or they haven't found one or developed one that meets their standards

This. :)

I and many of the team members are not opposed to WYSIWIG editors inherently. It's just that in the past and currently, there's no real solution that satisfies our needs. In the future? There may be. :)

Most of the time, when I see a WYSIWYG editor, it's extremely heavy and the javascript used takes forever to load in a page, and really destroys usability. If there's one that is light and unobtrusive (and doesn't stall page render times for the browser), I'd love to see it. If not, WYSIWYG should be approached carefully then.

@AdamR: What the heck is that acronym? o_0

Well you haven't really told us what the problem is... but no, the authors need to support their own product.

As I've said before, software that doesn't work properly and isn't supported is really no better than software that doesn't exist at all. Unless you are willing to participate in its development, there's no reason to even consider non functional scripts.
