Congrats on this A_Jelly_Doughnut.

Is there any time frame estimate on a stable release?

I would guess the answer is the same as any other "when" question on here - it will be ready when its ready and not a day sooner. ;)

The announcement said we'd move quickly - probably even very quickly by phpBB standards. ;)

I've got a date in mind for early May.

You changed line endings in a bunch of files, resulting in a very wasteful diff between releases.

Code: Select all

pie@snap rcf % diff -ur a3 a4 |wc
   11267 48673 379907
pie@snap rcf % diff -bur a3 a4 |wc
    1691 9234 76796
Please choose one line ending and stick with it, and either enforce it via a pre-commit hook or at least review files for correct and consistent line endings before releases. I would much prefer if you went with unix line endings.

Everything is supposed to be in UNIX line endings. It seems that I failed to use the "force-eol" feature when I was making the package. I will prevent this from happening again ...

I'm going to suggest this here for now. Please consider using transactions around data definition on databases that support them (postgres). As rc4 still generates broken sql on installation for postgres installing and uninstalling it becomes really confusing and/or painful.

Sounds like a bug if you ask me.
