Like Kenny said, be patient - and be grateful you don't have to pay for either the style or the software.
I just noticed, you talk too much about money! ;)

What brings you to that conclusion? :? Only like, 3 of my posts even contain the word "money", "pay" or "paid".
Rhetorical question. No need to answer. :geek:

i 've been waiting for 6 months, but v3.0.8 is not released yet.
I think development guys are very slow, i know they are volunteers but we just can't wait to see next one!
Maybe this post 'll work like a reminder and development team 'll do it fast. :)

I'll just quote myself from before.
Marshalrusty wrote:ChekoSlovakia, we don't just release versions randomly. If there isn't some critical bug that you're being plagued with, you have absolutely no reason to long for a maintenance release. Maintenance releases fix bugs, and the less bugs we have the better. 3.0.7-pl1 is incredibly stable and you should happily use it knowing that you won't need to install updates every 2 weeks.

Releases are often every 5 months but they are slightly behind schedule.

Please read http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=2106384
and http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... #p12853811

First topic isn't completely about it but it does talk about versions.

Alot of people use software but find updating a pain, so longer between versions is better for those people but also for mod, style, bridge, convertor, language pack authors who sometimes (or every time (3.0.7 to 3.0.7-PL1 being the exception) for some contribution types eg.g styles, language packs) have to update their contribution to the database

Guess what? You're going to have to wait.

Yeah, I'm sure it will have that effect. If somebody called me slow on a volunteer project, I'd ban their IP address when I released the next version.

The development team is always busy. They already give up their own time developing phpBB. Complaining about slow development won't make them go faster.

There is a way to make the development faster: contribute some patches yourself. :)

I'd like to point out that 3.0.8 isn't the only version they are working on. ;)

All of the issues were only resolved a few hours ago. We should be seeing a Release Candidate going out to the QA teams very soon. :)

Pending no major issues with the Release Candidate, the release of 3.0.8 should happen in the next few weeks.
