I have been using this on my test forum for a few weeks now and I have to say the public and author sections are great but the validation, queue ect., sections are very very nice. Its got a wonderful Admin and Validator Setup. Congrats eXtraction, DavidIQ, Paul and the rest of the customization team.

Just an FYI for those that want to see what topics and contributions they're subscribed to we have added and activated the UCP module for Titania into the UCP here. That should help users keep track of what they've replied to or what they're watching.

Can you shorten the title of the modules, possibly? It's really out of place and looks...something like "CDB section subscriptions" would be much easier on the eyes, though not as easily understood.
Possibly a new tab? I'm not sure.

Another FYI we've now updated all release topics for MODs and styles with the most current information and a support area link for each one of them.

Yeah...it's a bit hard to justify another tab and it really would just go in that main tab. I'm open to suggestions but the way they are now is the best I could come up with. CDB seems to fit for both though...let me/us ponder on this for a bit as it seems it would be sacrificing clarity for style.

Just a question related to subscriptions and how the Customisation Database will function.

When there is an update to a MOD will a topic be created in the Discussion/Support forum for the MOD or is it necessary to also subscribe to the MOD's Contribution Details forum in order to find out about that?

When there is an update a reply will be posted to the topic in the release forum.

You should use the subscribe option on the contribution details page to get notified about updates.

WHOA! I just noticed that Titania is using sort of an AJAX Quick Edit type feature when editing posts in its discussions threads.

What is it!?
Is it one of the MODs!?
Is it something we can expect to see added to phpBB!?

It's a bit of AJAX "magic" ;)
VSE wrote:Is it one of the MODs!?
Nope...it's something EXreaction was playing around with and was able to get to a working state :)

Can't say for sure but 3.1 may get some AJAX added to it so you never know ;)

Is he also responsible for the extendible quick-reply textarea?

Thought that was quite neat :).

I wanted to play with and learn a bit of jQuery a few days ago, so I made that. :P

I am not sure how much it would take to port to phpBB3, but probably just a template edit or two and a new PHP file (feel free to port it if you'd like, the new file would be needed for editing to let you only update the message and not use posting.php, which would modify other parts of the post).

For the auto-expanding textareas, I found this: http://www.unwrongest.com/projects/elastic/

And what's even neater, I can now read the edit box without having to use the Hubble Telescope.

:)

Thanks Nathan!

I did notice a bug with it though. :(

If you fill up the quick reply area with non-breaking stuff (eg, with repeating s) it doesn't expand until you take your finger off the letter. The odds of someone doing that, slim...thought I would mention it anyway (PS it also happens on the elastic site linked to which is why I didn't bug report it.

I noticed this myself, but I think it's just because of how it is coded (checking for resize on key release, as opposed to as text is entered seems to be that way in order to save memory on the client machine).

What's up with the new "Edit Revision" button? What exactly is that to be used for? It appears it's only for uploading language translations... Is that it or is there more to it :?:
