At that time these MODs may or may not work with the new plug-in-style architecture of that new version. That's just an FYI for those planning on participating. This shouldn't really mean a whole lot with regards to this competition but it's more of a pre-emptive warning.

I have added the above note to the announcement as well.
Just utilise the current hook/plugin possibilities, as much as possible :)

That's a good point. I plan on making a second version of my MODs for 3.1 and possibly supporting both the 3.0.x versions as well as the 3.1.x versions at the same time, at least for a while until people have a chance to upgrade.

O great... so now we get all these duplicate mods and all mod authors working on the same thing when they could actually be doing something useful

I'm sure in the MMW (MODing's Most Wanted) that a number of people collaborated on the same MOD. Maybe those who are doing the same or similar MOD could pull resources and come up with something really good? :)

I'm willing to work together with anyone else working on a prefix MOD, although mine is more than just a prefix MOD. PM if you're up for it, although I am planning on submitting what I have today after a few more tests if no one wants to.

It will be in the "2-4 weeks" that it takes to validate a MOD :)
