I thought that was the plan. Check area51 :)

Actually I believe the plan is to include it or something like it into 3.1... but not for 3.0.x.
Don't forget to smile today. :)

Yay, no more bugs :) Gotta be happy about that :D
Please note that I will not be porting any of my mods to phpBB 3.1. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

So how to know weather a mod support the AutoMod or not ?

And are all the released mods from now on must support the AutoMod ?

All MODs that have been submitted in (something like) the last 6 months should work in AutoMOD.

All MODs in the MODDB are tested with autoMOD, we use autoMOD for some time already to test MODs.

I wasn't sure of the timescale, but I'm assuming that some of the MODs that haven't been updated for 4/5 years might not work as they won't have been tested.

autoMOD was already in development before the first MODs were accepted, and so the first approved MODs were tested with (a earlier development version of) autoMOD.

By the way, is the AutoMod feature going to be included as a default feature in 3.0.8 ?

Nope. Look for a similar feature in 3.1 and up.

Great work guys - everthing works fast and smoothly, even better than with EasyMod for phpBB2 8-)

There was only one problem during installation of AutoMOD, which wasn't easy to understand at first. Normally during board update I'm entering in browser url example.com/board/install/ and everything is OK, but with AutoMOD there was 404 error when I was asked for confirmation, with url in browser looking like this:

Code: Select all

example.com/board/install/install/?confirm_key=xxxxxx

(note doubled install dir)
I didn't know what to do to avoid this situation, but after some long head scratching and uploading AutoMOD install files few times, I've tried adding index.php to example.com/board/install/ to start installation and this time there was no problem. I'm writing this only as a hint for those who had similar problem and didn't know what to do.

I got 3.0.7-PL1, and was hopping to get some step by step help..?

I got this error, and I also seem to have the version that has the develop folder and I get this error when running the install file from the Install folder:

PHP Error Message

Warning: include(../common.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/----/public_html/install/upload/install/index.php on line 19

PHP Error Message

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '../common.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/----/public_html/install/upload/install/index.php on line 19

PHP Error Message

Fatal error: Call to a member function session_begin() on a non-object in /home/-----/public_html/install/upload/install/index.php on line 20

Any help? I hope I didn't post this in the wrong section/topic to get help
