The downloads page was actually revamped within the last year or so if memory serves.Christian 2.0 wrote:Noticed this by accident, love how clean and accessible it looks. Kudos to everyone involved.
Any plans to update other areas of the site, downloads page perhaps?
What are your grounds for saying this? Obviously every man to his own when it comes to the aesthetics, although in terms of usability you've got to admit that it's an improvement from the former layout.Desdenova's Twitter wrote:Not so sure about the phpBB homepage redesign. Little naggy thing about it.
However, I still can't read it. There's also the possibility you blocked me from your reading your status updates, but that's not particularly relevant to this topic.Desdenova wrote:Nope. Obviously Christian 2.0 here can view them (and he's not following me that I know of), so it is just you that has no idea of the point I'm trying to make.Phil wrote:Unfortunately you've opted not to let non-followers view your tweets so we've no idea what the point you're trying to make is
I have to agree, it went from bad to worse IMHO as now any pertinent text such as announcements or recent blog entries have been pushed quite a ways down the page (and requires the user to scroll) which is normally the opposite of what you want to accomplish. Never having been a fan of the header graphics (they always seemed targeted to kindergarten age users) these new ginormous images that look to be targeted at children as well are...shall we say less than successful at projecting a professional image. All in all it comes off as unpolished and hodge podge from a design perspective. But then again this project's mascot is a teddy bear apparently so perhaps the images are in line with the target audience which certainly would explain a lot.nuckfan15 wrote:Can't say I am a fan.
We are currently looking into some alternative layouts that will reduce the size of these images.kzone wrote:Not a fun...Nice images but they are too big.
