Well my ACP. it's a blank white page and when I enter STK page I get the "BOM sniffer" intro/info page.
It has made the backups it said it made. I have not replaced those files yet... So I am wondering that is why my ACP is down? well I'll overwrite those files now.

I never had a problem with BOM.

IMHO, that is not a good idea at all. You are taking away control from the end user. That would be, again IMHO, like you inserting your ATM card and after entering the PIN it transfers your money into my account.

This is just my .01 (worth half as much).

Yeah that was the thing. it had modified my files without asking.. how was I to know. anyway, the modified files prevented me from entering my ACP.

Anyway, congrats on the new release.

The critical repair tools fix several errors that will prevent phpBB (and the STK) from running. I do not see how their running automatically is a bad thing.
