Hi!

There already is some impressive Joomla bridge as I talked about here, even if it's not "official bridge", it's quite useful.

I can't wait to see Typo3 bridge.
Do you have use it?

More officially recognising bridges is a great idea. They're indeed important, and phpBB is an integral part of my CMS ecosystems.

I am really very interested and looking for a stable Drupal-phpBB bridge, I've posted this one a long time ago and really happy to see that you are taking my wishes into consideration :D

What I would like to see is a universal open-source php-MySQL "users" database system that has no other purpose other than to be used as a central account management system and authentication system for various other php/MySQL projects to plug into.

Then there would not even be a need for such bridges in many cases.

However, bridges will have to do for now, where they are available.

The intention was to release it at Libertyvasion, but it is not yet the quality we expect before release, even in a developmental form. We will be releasing it soon.

You mean something like OpenID? It already exists. :)
I think I've seen one or two MODs somewhere to implement OpenD in phpBB.

Well, there's more than just users to bridge. Ideally, you'd want to exchange much more information such as easy acces to CMS articles for introduction in your forums or to discuss in your forums and I think there's much more to merge than just that.

Sure, openID is a great idea, but phpBB and other products should be integrating with it out of the box

If this gets bigger should it get its own area for development, releases, discussion and requests?

You should be able to use mods in development forum for development and mod requests for requests.
