Just received a bunch of 503 errors over the past 5 minutes or so.

I have been having them intermittently, along with 504 errors, most of the day.

Thanks for the reports. We're currently looking into why this is exactly happening. Ironically, most 503s seem to be thrown by our HTTP accelerator while our actual HTTP server reports 200s. We will keep you posted.

Yeah had major troubles even logging in midnight 2017-05-16 as I was hammered with 503s (varnish cache server yada yada). Seems to be fairly stable now though :) There is no nightly backup running that might be causing these?

There was a scheduled server maintenance last night - did you not see the announcement?
