Done as soon as it happened. But note that the old one was a non-word and had numbers too (very hard to guess), and I use it nowhere else, and nobody has access to my computer, sooo...... real mystery.

I'm thinking maybe someone mistakenly deleted the avatar in the directory where users upload their image files.
Nobody has connected into our servers relevant to that in the past few weeks so that's impossible. Also when we do we don't touch that kind of thing.

Maybe you had it as a remote avatar and something about your file changed?

Since many forums are now running phpBB 3.1, I'm guessing members might find little use for the phpBB 3.0.x category and being able collapsing that whole structure would be helpful and would improve the user experience here.

I'm interested in this also.
This is something we're certainly interested in doing (One of the reasons we started the extension was for .com) but we've experienced a few styling issues.
P_I wrote:The phpBB 3.1 demo site is running phpBB 3.1.5. Perhaps someone could update it to the current version (3.1.7-PL1) so newcomers trying out the software are not immediately confronted with ACP telling them the software is out of date.
Thanks for pointing this out, we'll work on getting that updated.

1) The extension search always fails with message saying the search can't be done, and more info is logged in error log.

2) Extension categories have identical names, without opening each of them and checking the mods' intended board version there's no way of telling the board version.

These have already been reported to the tracker. Thanks!

Not sure if has been already reported, logging in from the Support/Discussion topic of a validated ext of mine throwed out an error like trying to redirect to an insecure URL or something like that.

Edit: I haven't been able to see that error again nonetheless I logged in/out several times. I don't know.

One question: is it phpBB dot com, at the present time, running on the latest phpBB 3.1.8?

Thanks.

Why on yours forum you not set maximum number of nested quotes on 1?

Why my posts which I wrote in topic of some extension in Customisation Database > Extensions isn't save in my posts? I enter on my profile and want to review my posts and they aren't there.

Because that's what we set it to. It can get a bit confusing if you've got 10 nested quotes going on especially in support topics.

Entries in the Customisation Database aren't counted as posts and are in a separate set of tables so you won't see them included under your posts list here on the forum. That's not likely to change anytime soon. What might be able to be changed is the fact that you can't see a list of your own CDB posts anywhere, but you'll need to create a ticket for it in the tracker.

The past 6 years I liked 3.0 and Mods work great, then it come 3.1 last year and I upgrade and I had a lot of issues, probably for not reading / asking enough .

After 3 or 4 post and several messages got it fixed , and it seems the functionality is improved , i'm starting to see the speed up with some features and new extensions and the help of a lot of users and moderators .

thanks to all community ! for their support through the years

I don't know if this have been mention before or not.

I wonder if the strikethrough BBCode could be added as a button in the post editor like a "s" button similar to what the c button is.

You mark the text then click on the s button and get this - [s]Text[/s]

Code: Select all

Hover on Support and select phpBB Support.
Only mentions support for 3.0.x so no 3.1.x support?
Go to https://www.phpbb.com/support/forums/

Maybe add links for the 3.1.x support forums to.

I'd suggest submitting that to the tracker:

Image

Why not show some indicator/little different color on hover? It looks almost broken

Also I couldn't search on the website, is something wrong?
This is what I see upon any sort of search (no result)
