The search is using Google Search Engine. Currently not working. So from the forum "QUICK LINKS -->> Search" to search the forum.

According to https://www.phpbb.com/languages/
phpBB has been localised to 54 different languages and language variations by a dedicated team of translators.
Great. But why then is this board locked to one language?

Because it is an English speaking board. If the "board" text was in multiple languages then you would start getting a mix of languages in posts, which I don't think anyone would want.

Whether there should be dedicated "other" language fora is another debate.

We have a list of other support boards for different languages: https://www.phpbb.com/support/intl/
Spot on with the rest of your comment.

Sometimes when I search, it says that the search could not be performed and more information the failure has been logged in the error log.

The website search, not the google one. go to a user that has a lot of posts and click search users post and go to the last page pf the results. That will give you the error.

Hi, I'm still unable to reproduce this.

search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&auth ... tart=14940

Please could you provide a link next time this happens and create a ticket on the website tracker (tracker.phpbb.com) with a screenshot and the link to reproduce?

Many thanks, we're now investigating the cause of this.

It appears you can only go back to #19999. If you start there, you only get the one result.

One question: is it phpBB dot com, at the present time, running on the latest phpBB 3.1.8?

Thanks.
I can see in these days that has been updated to 3.1.9.
It was Feb 2016 when I asked.
