Is phpbb.com running 3.30?
I just tried to delete some messages in my inbox, and got the submitted form error that I have seen a few other users post about..

Last week or so I was curious to see if this site was in fact running 3.3.0 so I checked the style.cfg file and nope. This site is running 3.2.9.

BTW- The error affects both 3.2.9 and 3.3.0. When I updated to 3.2.9 and prepped my upload with all my custom core edits I immediately added the code change in the files to be upload so that the issue wouldn't raise its ugly head from the get go. This is one reason why I like to wait till all the reports come in after a phpBB release. That way I'm not scrambling to fix crap that was already uploaded to the FTP directory.

We are indeed running phpBB 3.2 at the moment. Once the next RC is released it will be deployed on phpBB.com and the PM bug will be fixed.

There doesn't seem to be a way to print a Knowledge Base article cleanly. For example I was trying to print (to PDF), Knowledge Base - phpBB3 Permissions, but the first two pages are full of the expanded phpBB header menu (see attached).

Would it be worth opening a ticket to see if this could be addressed so only the contents of KB article is included in the print layout?

Hi all,

I just spent two days trying to get my IP released by spamhaus.
I made a post and then a few minutes later I get this error when trying to make another post:
Your IP 52.128.53.254 has been blocked because it is blacklisted. For details please see http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=52.128.53.254.
If you click on the link it will tell you the problems.
finally today, I got my ISP support to contact spamhaus and get it released. at first the ISP support was telling me I had to deal with spamhaus but what they wanted were things that I don't have access to in order to make changes.

anyway, what I wonder is why in the world is phpbb.com using spamhaus to help with spam? it has a reputation for having many false positives and other problems.

I also wonder why it would all of a suddent show up with that IP as being blacklisted after a week of working just fine.

I also wonder why it would flag it when trying to make a post. I do not have any notifications set for email etc so why would making a post set it off?

anyway, My ISP contacted spamhaus and got it removed so I can post again.

sorry for the rant.

robert

If it's any consolation Robert I was staying overnight in an hotel on Monday and had exactly the same problem. In my opinion Spamhaus cases more problems than it solves!

I remember over the years hearing a lot of stories of false positives etc. with them. I believe even on this very board.
Oh well, I'm back. It was almost two whole days without being able to post. I was starting to have withdrawl symptoms.

Check IP against DNS Blackhole List in Security settings has pretty much always been an option in phpBB. And, as far as I can tell, it's always been enabled here ("enabled" is also the default for new installations).

yes, but does that use spamhaus for doing it?

I have never heard of spamhous being used by phpbb.com but maybe I just missed it.

Yes, for at least the past 12 years. I'm not saying we should keep it though. :P
