Ok, lets stop this discussion here, and go back ontopic to feedback on the website. Thanks.
At least split it off. I'm trying to help.

In the Forum Extension Requests I cannot upload an image as file attachment. Is that extra so?

Here's a fun one for you, a small problem with this site's code.inline CSS class.
If the inline code ends with a space and followed by a space, the followed space is not shown.
As an example: Re: there should be a space after this inline code.
This only happens when the inline code ends with a space, otherwise the space is displayed correctly.
As an example: inline code without an ending space works just fine.

Adding white-space: pre; to the CSS class solves this 'gigantic' issue
With thanks to Joshy for the quick fix.

I cannot upload an ... attachment
Note: members aren't allowed, so it's not a technical issue. Other forums miss this permission, too, for no apparent reason.

We don't want to host all uploaded images (Or other attachments) for space reasons. There are enough image hosting sites that provide upload possibilities that can be used instead.

It might just be me but since the server maintenance today the board seems a touch quicker. A PHP version upgrade perhaps?

The copy of sphinx.conf used by this board needs to be updated to include the fix I wrote for 3.2.9/3.3.0. Specifially, HTML markup is being indexed as keywords. For example, if you search for "br", you get 2.5 million hits as every line break is treated as a keyword.

See here: https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/pull/5792

This should probably result in a dramatic reduction in the size of the search index.

Change will take effect next time indexer.exe runs on the main index. I assume you have cron for this to run periodically.
