Very Italian is where you can say you know the two languages very well or deeply enough and you can then decide wich Italian word is technically best fitting the argument itself, instead.. and in the case I was above speaking about, spaghetti-italian translation instead it is something that could be understood by computer's beginners, yes .. (noobs, and there are unfortunately a lot there, especially end-users and not only LOL) .. but that means you are letting those noobs growing up using a false Italian 'IT - PC - Technical' language related, not to mention that is very disgusting to read it.. sounds like something very but very NOT ITALIAN AT ALL.

Just translated WORD by WORD with A DICTIONARY (perhaps an online one) .. I mean, there is a leak of knowledge base there, firstly.. not to mention all the MACCHERONIs words that lies over there.. all of this makes a big and huge non sense to me, and not just me.

end of rant.

3Di, we've heard your opinion several times and proposed a way you could do something about it. Continuing to rant about it is pointless with you current attitude and takes up space which could be used for better purposes.

Now back to Pony's question. Well technically I do not have a limit of what variants of languages will be accepted. Generally I will say yes to different scripts (for example our Serbian language packs), formal/informal variants (in some languages they make a big difference, it might be hard to imagine for English speaking users), regional dialects etc...if it does not fit into any of those categories, again, it'll be decided on a case-by-case basis.

It looks nice. :D I seem to remember (?) on the previous language pack page, you could see the version information right away without clicking it. It was convenient. I would love to see the version information on the page with the flags. That way you wouldn't have to click each link open to see if it's been updated yet...when you have a lot of languages...and may have to check for an update several times if some aren't updated right away. :)

Just an idea to fill in grey the flags which are not update with the latest phpBB version:

Do you like that for example?

We've made a change to Titania that should address this. Will be live in the next few days :)

Good news! The grey flags idea is genius, but it sounds like you've already found another solution. I'll be waiting to see it! thanks :D

That's because you're the first one to post there and because that link only displays your posts here on the forum.

Am asking, as I am half way through an updated version, but will not complete if anyone else is on the job
We've had one, but it's long inactive, I've sent you a PM about how to continue.
I'm setting up a multi-lingual message board for people in Europe, and have been downloading language packs without problems. However I just realized tonight that there isn't a Norwegian one available.
I'm please to hear that someone is working on one, but can I ask when it's expected to be ready for download ?

Thanks a lot.

Also is there anyone working on an Icelandic one ? (I don't need one right now, but can see myself needing one in the future)

I want to thank ALL the people who work on those translations, that work is so useful. :)
