Great work folks, thanks for all your hard work. I’ve just update four forums without a hitch… two are heavily modded and the others, mildly.

Maybe not the best idea to have Scheduled Maintenance taking the phpBB servers offline for several hours just when the announcement email was being delivered to many people.

Thanks! Just updated but had a small hiccup. I don't know why but the includes/functions.php didn't seem to update the first go-around. It said all the files were updated except includes/functions.php, so I downloaded the files again, which this time was just includes/functions.php, and updated that one file and then it seemed to work.

Curious, did anyone else experience something like this?

Hi folks,

Would someone be so kind as to explain the thing about the mods and styles (all of them are 3.08) when it's about phpBB 3.09?

I have three 3.08 boards with of course 3.08 styles and mods.
Will they be also updated with the board.

I plan to install a new fresh 3.09 phpBB board and I'll need some mods.
How can I install mods when non of them are of version 3.09?

As the style authors update their styles they will submit it to CDB and once they are validated they will be available.
We are trying our best to quickly validate styles once they are submitted :)

Thanks :D

I still don't understand why people update their boards to 3.09 when they have 3.08 mods installed.
If I update my board with 4 mods to 3.09, will there be some problem with it?

You don't lose the mods - that's why they upgrade :P

Did you mean how? The automatic updater does it all - automatically.

I know the mods will not be lost but they will still be 3.08 version on 3.09 updated board.
Can 3.08 mods work on 3.09 board? :D

The version mentioned in the MODDB is the tested version for that release, most MODs work on other versions as well, but arent tested by the MOD team for that version. You can always ask the MOD author if the MOD works on 3.0.9.

You can find all of the code changes from 3.0.8 to 3.0.9 for each individual file here: http://www.phpbb.com/support/code-changes/3.0.8/

Hi there,

a little thing,

on the code change there no mention in template/overall_header.html about the copyright phpBB on the Meta :

Code: Select all

<meta name="copyright" content="2000, 2002, 2005, 2007 phpBB Group" />
but this line is removed in the full package 3.0.9

So ?
