In my humble opinion this other patch stick with IE6Oleg wrote:FYI, the development team is no longer fixing IE6 bugs in the core styles. (We will still accept patches with fixes if they don't break anything.)
Completely agree with this decisionCallum95 wrote:It was decided in this thread on Area51 that IE6 would no longer support it.
As far as I have seen, IE6 is only really being used by business who can't afford to update (eg they have legacy software that would be too expensive to update). One such business is the NHS in the UK, who still use IE6 on most of their machines.
I'd vote for stopping support for IE7 as well, because it's already 2 versions behind.Maël Soucaze wrote:Hey,
This topic is in our "To-Talk-List" for our next team meeting, in the middle of this month. You will be of course informed if we change our minds concerning the IE6 support for styles.
It would be nice to see the range of users still use it.Derky wrote:I'd vote for stopping support for IE7 as well, because it's already 2 versions behind.
I agree. I can see being one version behind if you don't like the newer version but the time comes when you need to upgrade regardless, or switch to another choice completely.Callum95 wrote:Yes, but they have only themselves to blame when software stops supporting ancient browsers.nextgen wrote:but that is up to each one, if someone wants to or not to upgrade.
