MyBB has 86%?!?!
There must be some cheating here...
We'll see about that. When phpbb 3.1 comes, we'll see which bb is best.

ugh. MyBB is just awful. it's easy to install plug ins but the styles are horrible. even SMF is a little better.

I voted for phpBB

Ok, something strange going on here, I don't think it a cookie thing it must be on the fact that you can vote once per day from the same IP address.

I don't know what going on here, but I been able to vote from the same computer on the same network with the same public IP address several times.

I'm having a better look into it now.

Sorry guys.

Looking at the MyBB forum we were in the lead last year and it was quite close so I think there has been some cheating considering the amount of votes.

Although MyBB have a whole page in their topic about how phpBB was cheating last year.

If you can't beat 'em, cheat 'em. :D

However, I have to wonder about two things.

First, unless you've actually used all (or at least many) of the boards and services listed, you're really voting for your preferred/favorite/most used board, not the "best".

Second, the methodology seems bad. They give you one vote, but the results are broken into categories -- best free, best commercial and best hosted. This means that the voting should really have three categories so that I could vote up to three times -- once for best free, once for best commercial and once for best service. I may host my board with a service, but also want to vote on boards that I visit.

I think the choice of styles is pretty much on par with phpBB. There are things I like/dislike about both, but I've always favoured phpBB generally. I'm not sure which way I'm voting yet though.
