Hello,
I hope this update will decrease the number of the support requests for my MODs to at least 50%. :)

Thank you very much for the update!

Whats wrong about fixing a simple </a> that doesn't belong there, then re uploading the package vs having to wait months before it's taken care of? Never understood that so just wondering :)

finally. I've been using the unreleased version of 1.0.0.2 for a while now, and I like how it now removes files....

I guess he is referring to this fix:
[Fix] Removed closing </a> that did not have any open tags. (Ticket #62152)

Because they don't want to have different "versions" of the same release floating around.
Sure this sort of minor issues could be resolved is a small bugfix release (which the team obvious chose for to not do), but fixing a package through the backdoor by replacing an already released (and in use) package is a no-go.

ok so i tried this update and.

contrib links to updates seem to be broken

Code: Select all

Available Changes

MOD Name: Array (install)

MOD Name: Array (Uninstall)
If i FTP update file to the store/mod/mod_name folder.

1: automod seems to be merging changes rather than using the new install_mod.xml ( author notes were not updated, DIY Instructions merged or duplicated)

2: still cannot apply update to pro silver based styles previous mod was applied to ( using parent links to install_mod.xml).

3: cannot uninstall due to reason 1.

4: does not apply update to subsilver but will let me apply update to other subsilver2 based styles the mod was not applied to ( using parent links to install_mod.xml).

Erik, I'd like to point out that the interim version i made available was for personal use of my guild and friends. I didn't advertise this on phpbb.com so it was not "floating around" as you say.

Hello,
Sajaki's AutoMOD editions solved a lot of problems for quite a long time. We should be thankfull for this! I (as a MOD author) would have been much more happier this time if these editions would have been much more well known.

I hope that all of Sajaki's fixes are included into AutoMOD 1.0.1, too.

Let's look forward and not backward!

Bye Martin

Yes, that was tested and working in Amsterdam but something happened on the flight home. :P

I think there will be a new release shortly that takes care of that.

That might be but he was more talking about us releasing various versions at around the same time for trivial things (like a missing anchor tag) and have them available through our site. Would you go through the process of validating your MOD, getting it approved, and then go through that whole process just for a misspelled word and then have additional versions of your MOD available for download? Probably not.
