phpBB Database Engine choice?

Post by inkedgod »

From what the installation manual says, phpBB can run on:

MSSQL Server
Firebird NOSQL
Oracle Database

Can anyone elaborate on the performance of each database in regards to phpBB, users, bandwidth and any other relevant factors... n regards to phpBB specifically of course?

No, that's wrong. The manual says this.

Database management systems all have their advantages and disadvantages and you have to make your own choice. Topics which have discussed different DBMSs: The first topic shows that MySQL is used by the majority of phpBB installations.
