Just for clarity , seeing as you dont have any badges or anything, you are?

It's like for all the others updates:
1) you download the package here
2) you follow this

You read all the warnings explaining that this is currently for testing purposes only and shouldn't be used in a live environment, right? It sounds like you're trying to update a live board, which I would advise against until at least the RC stage.

Hello! :D

I tried updating my 'test' board using the 'Automatic update package', but every time I point my browser to the 'install' directory, I get a blank page. I re-downloaded and copied the 'install' folder again, but had the same result. I checked the file permissions and they look fine. What could be causing this? I have updated my board many times before (being using phpBB for years now), but never got a blank page on the 'install' directory (otherwise the board is working fine). My test board is on 'localhost' and is an exact copy of my 'live' board.
Any suggestions most welcome.

Thanks. :D

Any place where a demo has been set up and I can give it a go? I tried looking for it, but couldn't find any.
I currently do not have a place to install and run BETAs.

So far, everything looks and runs great. I'm eagerly awaiting the full release of 3.1.0, especially with the change from MODs to Extensions. Now to make a word censor that parses bbcode. ;)

If you are comfortable with running a development environment on your PC, you can find several easy to use solutions via google search. There are however, some security issues to consider when using a local development environment. Be sure to read the full documentation of any resource you use, before jumping ahead and downloading.

I hope this helps.
