The new version is really great! ;)

I've deleted some files in the cache folder and manually disabled extensions in the database - and errors disappeared.

People need it to start converting their styles. Will make it much easier to update the styles in the RC versions

Thanks, the problem here is that I dont know how to work with diff files.
The old txt format was much easier.
When you've based your style on prosilver, it will be much easier to restart from the new (3.1) prosilver and re-apply your custom CSS and template changes instead of applying the diff to your custom style.

The new prosilver looks nice. Even the ACP and MCP links are at the top now

Out of curiosity, is there somewhere a demo available of RC2? Is Area51 updated with RC2?

Area51 is synchronized regularly with the latest development version. Currently it's still a RC1-dev version but very close to RC2. (area51 was updated 9 days ago)

Looks and feels great, definitely fantastic work. I've been an avid user and fan of phpBB3 and it's features - particularly the permission system , for years.

One thing though, was the Gravatar feature from RC1 removed? I can't seem to find it. :P

EDIT: My stupidity ... I completely overlooked it, LOL. It's still there.

Is there a test board on the web where we can see it in use?

Thanks

Style changes - Prosilver received a little facelift. The header has been updated to a cleaner look. Additionally a maximum width has been added
why was the maximum width added? I don't object to it

I have a very very wide monitor and on mine the 3.1.0 RC2 takes up 50% of the width, i.e 25% empty space 50% forums 25% empty space

however I have seen my phpBB3.0 forums at "no limit" width (prosilver) and it does look way too wide to be honest - just wondered why someone decided a maximum width was to be added, just curious

I do like the top bar with "Quick Links" and also the parent menu below that e.g. "site" then "forums index" very good and to see a load of compliments above this is very gratifying too, great work!! 3.1.0 is going to be amazing!! 8-)

Too wide forums don't look good enough. ;)

And besides that: When you have a monitor that large, (why) do you still browse fullscreen?

if you don't browse full screen then you're seeing stuff behind that's distracting

it actually spoils the "atmosphere" of the forum

so in a way - placing a maximum width helps, because you still browse full screen - the empty sections either side do not distract you, they're fine :D

very wide screens are typically used by gamers and people developing websites (as they want to see what people who have very wide monitors "see" of the developing website they're doing)

I can't wait for the next [RC] :D After being a little 'meh' about the new 3.1.x, I'm actually loving testing it so far.
