Events - New events have been added to increase the power of extensions
to increase the "power"? what does that mean?

sounds great anyway

The number of extensions in development is most appealing and looks to hold a golden release when 3.1 happens 8-)

More event means more options where extensions can modify the behaviour of the core.

Updated board. Was the purge cache function removed from the customise tab? I don't see it anymore. It shows up under the general tab though.

So, high five. Will I be able to upgrade version 3.0.11 straight to stable version of 3.1.0?

That shouldn't be a problem.

We recommand to do the update to 3.0.12 first, to avoid potential problems.

Auto-update package (ftp) contains some kind of bug.
"Update was successful" but on re-check: fatal error, no such file or directory on /includes... I have to restore my backup and wait for the final release. Thanks anyway.

Unless you report the issue to our tracker in detail, as stated in the announcement, and provide steps to reproduce there should be no expectation that you will have a different result with the final release. You should probably do that. ;)

It's not first time with the RCs ;) I don't remember but same (or very similiar) error occured in auto-update from RC1 to RC2 or from Beta to RC1. So I can sleep with it, my RC4 board works fine and RC5 will be tested as a fresh install.

I have installed quite a few modifications (on 3.0.11) and I'm afraid that after updating the database will be a lot of mistakes. Is there any way to easily restore the database contents to default values? The easiest way would be if I could generate a clean copy of the database (without additional tables created by the modifications) and the prepared copy of the database could upload on a freshly installed stable version 3.1.0. The question is whether it is possible. Manual removal from the database remains of the old modifications can be extremely cumbersome.
