Good news then ! Well, partially... I see there still arent any stable or approved Extensions in the Extensions Database. Not even the ones that seem to be Official phpbb Extensions. So it should take at least a few months to have the most popular mods converted over.. :?

And i suspect updating the styles will take a lot of time so we should start changing our styles from scratch... But we should adapt quickly to the new release. Thanks :)

...By the way, phpbb.com says i have two new PMs. But i did not have a new PM since of January this year.
It seems to be a bug. Anyone else having this issue?

This is because extensions aren't being accepted in to the Extensions Database quite yet.

phpBB 3.1 shows the number of unread PMs whereas 3.0 used to show the number of new PMs since you last visited your inbox. It is probable you either have a full inbox and PMs are being held, or there are some un-read PMs deep inside your inbox somewhere.

One thing not mentioned on the New Features page which I think is great for Admins is the ability to set a Web site's Home page in the ACP, which changes the breadcrumbs and the logo link. That means that you can easily link phpBB to the rest of your site (and possibly can be used with portals).

I think that's a bigger deal than improved global announcements. (I may be biased, though, because the Home page link was my suggestion. :D)

Wow, I'm surprised. I always had the impression that it shown the number of unread PMs !
I had to have someone send me a PM to check. :|

My inbox is not full..."Folder is 18% full (75 out of 400 messages stored)"
So there are either 2 unread PMs or theres a bug. I am guessing there is no way to figure out which PM is unread so i think this should be included in the next release of 3.1. Unless im wrong and theres a way i dont know of.

I agree that this is confusing. In fact, I opened a Website bug about it yesterday, but it's obviously working as designed.

There is a way to find out which PMs are unread -- unread PMs have a red ring around them instead of a blue ring -- but that can be hard to see and a pain to find if you have several pages of PMs.

In fact, I just opened the Allow Searching PMs RFC about this in Area 51. ;)
