So there are either 2 unread PMs or theres a bug. I am guessing there is no way to figure out which PM is unread so i think this should be included in the next release of 3.1. Unless im wrong and theres a way i dont know of.

The unread PMs are red. Simply check all three pages for the red PMs and open them. Of course, the reason you noticed this is because the behavior changed. Had you started a forum from scratch using 3.1, it would have seemed natural that the count remains until you actually open the message.

I think what's needed is a way to easily mark all PMs as read and/or a way to view the unread ones.

I've started an issue for it here, if you want to comment.

Yes, the point of RC6 is to have a clean cut for translators, so they can prepare their translations so they are ready when the final is here.
Therefor we will freeze the language with RC6 and no more language changes are allowed to go into 3.1.0
