Updated. Is there a list of bug fixes somewhere? I mean like Users being able to unlock their own posts etc?

Yup, as I discovered recently, the latest changelog is on your site, under docs/CHANGELOG.html

Nice link, cheers  Now I have it, could you make it disappear? It's all mine! and not Googles! ;) :D

Doesn't seem to be much in the way of real descriptions though? I'm sure I read somehwhere that the being able to unlock own topics would be fixed in 3.1.2...Will keep digging.

Edit: Cheers mate ;) :)

I just did the automatic update and am a little confused on the steps...
I downloaded the .zip file for auto update 3.1.1 to 3.1.2 and unpacked, then copied the install, vendor, and docs folders to my site (as I thought the instructions said).
When the install ran it insisted on having my ftp info. The files/folders where already in place, why would that be needed?

Am I missing something? Should I do it differently?

Could be just another one of those senior moments... :?

the process will create edited files for you to download to your computer or it will do the download and upload for you. if it does it for you it will need the ftp info. or, you can choose to do it yourself, download the changed files and unzip the file on your computer then upload them back to the server.

that is how the process worked in 3.0 and apparently how it works in 3.1 as well.

Hi @moot,

this is normal and wanted behaviour.
During update-process the board checks for files changed or missing and fetches them.

You can decide to download them as a packed file and upload yourself or to fetch them by remote-ftp.
For the second case it is needed to put in your ftp pass to allow automated access.

I got a debug message during update yesterday, which is reported here.
My headers were sent from this message and I couldn't start the file download.
So I decided to fetch the missing files by remote ftp and it worked fine.

The other method also worked from 3.1.0 to 3.1.1.

Cheers, HaNNF

I just did the automatic update and the system detected I had inserted HTML into the index body.html of prosilver 3.1.1 so it merged my index body.html with the new index body.html of 3.1.2

I had got back ups in case

but looks like they're not needed, all went fine :D

Can we please have a list with all the prosilver style changes? I mean i have downloaded the changed files but how am i suppose to find the changed css or html lines in those files? I'm asking because i made some changes to my prosilver theme and i don't want to loose them via automatic update.Thanks.

Funny topic title for a new phpBB release like this... "phpBB 3.1.2 Release - Please Update".

Now tell me how can I update when I get this error when clicking on the download area both as a guest and when I'm logged in.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

If that's important I'm using Pale Moon and I could download phpBB 3.1.1 when it came out.

The page works here again in both chrome, firefox and IE, so I guess it was a temporary glitch.
