Btw, it is a funny coincidence that there was only one PL1 release in 3.0.7-PL1 and now, the next PL version is found in 3.1.7PL1 It gives the impression that its intentional.

What about 3.0.13-PL1?
The coincidence has been mentioned earlier in this topic. Even its title contained 3.0.7-PL1 at first.

That link should be always provided with all release-announcements. I dont know what changes i should my style without it. I could find it via other ways, but this would be the easiest and fastest way to do it.

So please provide the link and the updated code changes at each release

the way to update is to replace all the old files with new ones except for the config.php file and then run the install/database_update.php file
then delete the folder named install

you are done.

When did phpbb 3.1.7 get released ?
I didn't get any notification on Admin Control Panel until now, and now it's v. 3.1.7-PL1?
I see in version history 3.1.6 > 3.1.7-RC1 > 3.1.7-PL1 ... a bit confusing.

it was not officially released apparently. I would guess that it was ready and then they found a problem and just released the pl1 instead.

We identified a bug and a security issue in 3.1.7 prior to publically announcing the release. Thanks to landaire for reporting the security issue. Thus this release is called 3.1.7-PL1 (patch level 1) and includes a corrected database migration as well as proper verification of a CSRF token on the BBCode page in the Administration Control Panel. An actual CSRF attack would only have been possible if an attacker also managed to retrieve the session id of a reauthenticated administrator prior to targeting them.

As long as you did not edit any core files, you should be fine.
