Discuss: phpBB 3.2 Rhea is upon us

I hope that it would not be problem to upgrade from 3.0 to 3.2 version.

If you have any MODs, that will be a pain in the ... It´s my case too. I´m responsible for a site/forum that is still on 3.0 and we have a bunch of MODs installed. The most significant barrier that prevents us to move foward is phpbb-seo MOD/Extension that currently is incompatible with 3.2 and the project seems abandoned

There is an alternativ for phpbb-seo MOD :

still in beta but works well with phpBB 3.1.x and 3.2

The seo MOD that you use seems be abandoned forever so no reason to wait !
And to get one day seo-urls in the core of phpBB seems to be hopeless

Completely false. When someone comes up with an implementation that isn't terrible it will be in the core, possible even for 3.3.

Until then you'll need to make due with what is available as an extension and somewhat works.

Mmh, I'm not even sure it will be released today. There are some important bugs for now, maybe the developers decided to delay a bit the release?

Nothing has been moved. We're just finishing up required tasks prior to the release.

Hi, yesterday (?), the number in the countdown said 20 instead of 1 (depending on the time zone, certainly). Delays are supposed to occur and can be explained. Only I find nothing in that context. That is a pity. So we must have patience.

Yes, but there was an "hours" instead a "days" underneath

I think I'll be waiting this one out, until the major user permissions issue is fixed.
