what do you mean when you talk about the new emoji feature?

Hi All
I was reading this link (https://www.phpbb.com/about/launch/) feature related to newest phpbb version and I'm still not able to understand what you really want to say about this new feture. Is it work only over mobile version?

It means it's now possible to use the Emoji characters in a post whereas before, phpBB wouldn't have been able to parse them and they wouldn't be displayed. While it is easier to insert them through a mobile device (as they have a built-in Emoji keyboard), you can also insert the Emoji characters on your PC as I'm doing right now when you have their Unicode browser variant.

There is also an extension being created for 3.2 that will add an emoji picker.

Select the Emoji image in the column with the heading "Brow." and copy it. Then you can paste it in a post.

No, you could use the PNG files https://www.emojione.com/download

Decompress it, now you should be able to batch-resize the "emojis" you see that fit into 18x18 px.

Simply replace the images of the smilies originally shipped with phpBB with yours. Only the images.
./images/smilies/ (maybe you should save them as .gif as well, not sure though, didn't investigate)

Not tested, should do.
