I am having hard time to run phpBB 3.2.2 (patched ofcourse) with PHP 7.2.2, won't run at all (infinite loop).

No probs with PHP 7.1.14, 7.0.27, 5.6.33. (same board)
Apache 2.4.29/MySql(i) 5.7.21.

Any clue? phpmyadmin runs.

I may be wrong but I thought that you needed 3.3 to run PHP 7.2.2

3.2.2 as per the announce should run on 7.2, my doubt is: has been 7.2.2 tested? since it has been just released.

I just updated my board, a disabled live board, and I had no problem.

However, I miss one thing and I think one more step could be added to the update package, before continuing the update, and what I mean is to inform the user about what each step does, but also have one last chance to cancel the update should one wants to abort the update process.

Because during the update I thought about to cancel the update, but wasn't sure of how to do that without causing an issue and that's something I don't want to fiddle with if I can avoid that. Sure, I could simply close Firefox or select another tab then remove the tab I had for updating my board.

My thanks goes to eveyrone who have worked hard to make this happen. :D

Hi, I am still on 3.2.0 because 3.2.1 had a broken auto-updater that wiped out lots of modded code, and the advice I received back then was to wait to 3.2.2 because by then the auto-updater would be fixed.

So, is it fixed now?

On another issue, I was criticised for having a lot of hand-modded changes to my core files, and people said I should re-work them as an extension or extensions. Is there a quick tutorial on how to do this?

Thanks
