for it to say Is phpbb the right board for us?
does not good for SEO even though you will find many so called SEO experts out there that will say it does.
Yes, you can ask google or rather you can read what they have to say about it:
https://phpbb.hifikabin.me.uk/app.php/s ... 1472199281
Sorry but I think hifikabin doesn't know anything about SEO
For exemple if check his own board

Code: Select all

hifikabin.me.uk
by typing in Google

Code: Select all

site:hifikabin.me.uk
you get
HiFi Kabin - Index page
https://hifikabin.me.uk/

For me it's proofs that Google doesn't understand very much of the content
And phpBB "out of the box" isn't really SEO

The title on a page both meta and the h1 tag are two of the most important things for both SEO and conveying to the user what it's about. Generally speaking good SEO practices are good for the user. That title conveys nothing to the search engine or the user. A descriptive title using keywords for the main topic would increase the ranking for that page for those keywords and also have a better chance of someone clicking on it.
