Would 'collapse ad' be forbidden for the ads?

Post by deepndark » Wed Jul 31, 2019 10:58 am

Or not? I would use it if this would be possible and legal though. Then everyone could collapse the ads, even though lots of the users would be curios sometimes to un-collapse it em.

You would need to read the T&Cs of the ad provider. Most often say ads cannot be hidden (otherwise what's the point in having them).

Having them for the people who don't mind them. Believe it or not but if the ads would be collapsable, the clicking number would even increase a bit.

People who don't want to see them have ad blockers anyway.

you are apparently talking about some type of ad extension. phpbb does not have any ads or a way to use them without installing an extension.

I'm lost. the forum collapse extension just collapses the forums. you have to have an ads extension to be able to have ads.

unless the ads are actually inside of a forum being displayed, they would not be affected by the forum collapse extension.

That's what I meant, the collapse extension and the ad extension should collab for that feature.
