View install.xml

Post by Fernando Garcia » Sat Nov 16, 2019 9:51 pm

Hi!

Actually what are the alternatives to view a rendered install instruction from an old MOD install.xml?

On past I could see it using a browser but now it's shown as simple text.

I need uninstall a MOD manually to do an upgrade.

Best regards.

Either you use a text editor which has seamless browser (type IE6) like Edit +
or an online tool can help, in this case you can try http://www.xmlviewer.org/

If I remember correctly, the mods that had the xml files are supposed to have another file in them that gives the xml file some styling so that it shows up in the browser properly.

not sure why you can follow the instructions in the text version of the xml file. after all, it is just text anyway.

You can view them in modern browsers by temporarily allowing CORS requests: https://www.thepolyglotdeveloper.com/20 ... s-locally/
