Most of the significant changes are in the back-end, which will pave for the way for future improvements.
That has been clear for a long time already, but still, the transition from 2.0 to 3.0 was massive as was the transition from 3.0 to 3.1 (in my case to 3.2).
With that in mind, 3.3 doesn't have a real wow factor. (and yes I know, no wow factor was promised nor insinuated but one can't help hoping for something really spectacular).
Don't take this as negative criticism, it's a natural emotion for those who haven't seriously looked under the hood yet (and I'm one of them). I'm realistic enough to appreciate the not-so-apparent improvements.
exactly, looking forward to the future ...

Yes me too, the "like" button should be standard on forums these days as well as a fair few other extensions.

That's a matter of opinion and in the end it's the developers' opinion that counts.
Anyway, the existing "like" extensions (for 3.2) will probably be upgraded relatively soon.
Brexit and Trump are old news and currently I have no inspiration for a new signature.
Ow, wait: 3.3 has been released.

I went to your board and looked for an hour or so, but did not see the women without underwear.

This update/Upgrade has just completely wiped out one of my forums.
Won't be running this on any of the others.

You should open a support topic and use your backup.

I have run a rollback.
Just a note: File replacement seems to wipe out the original forums as it doesn't give an upgrade option.
Think i will leave the update for now.

I doubt that. You likely replaced the config.php file with a blank one (file replacement method does include that file as one you'd need to remove before doing the file replacements) and thus the software correctly assumed it was a new installation. Restoring the files also restored that file and is why everything was working for you again. Regardless there is nothing in the installer that would delete your forum database as you alluded to.
