And there is nothing that you or I can do to change that.
The world is not what we want. He is what he is!

I have a magnificent platform, developed in phpBB3, with many routines programmed by me.
Thousands of hours of work invested by me.

In 2013, most of my users were using Facebook.
And they demanded the presence of groups on Facebook.
I created branches of my phpBB groups on Facebook.
In 2016, I closed my phpBB platform.

Do you think I was happy with that?
PhpBB, technically, is 100 times superior to Facebook.
I love phpBB!

Now I want to go the other way.
I want to bring my groups back.
I want to bring my Facebook groups to phpBB.

But, this has to be done intelligently.
With technology.
With seduction.

My users are not my slaves.
They are my friends.
They will make this return, if they realize that it is good for them.

Today, they are more mature users.
Facebook abuses daily.
Their messages are censored, because of their opinions.

In my groups they trust.
We never censor anyone.

But, we don't want to lose our conversation history.
So, my project is sync.

If we are successful, many people in the world will be interested.
All countries where Facebook does political censorship will be interested.

Finally phpBB will have a chance to replace Facebook.
The stubborn user puts a message on the Facebook group.
This message immediately appears in the phpBB group.
Facebook censors the message.
The stubborn user realizes that he has lost his job.
But, he sees that his message remains in the phpBB group.
Then the stubborn will finally understand.

That's what we're looking for.

I DIDN'T SAY that the whole world "only uses" Facebook.
It is obvious that people also use Twitter, WhatsApp, Blogger, WordPress, hundreds of other platforms, and ............... phpBB.

Seems like you've overlooked quite a large part of the whole world.

Is this just your assumption or do you have numbers supporting your position.
I am really interested and my question is free from ulterior motives.

It was basically a reaction to the concept of "the whole world" in view of the world which I have regular contact with.: a "world" needing structure in the messaging/reporting/discussion. There's a world which feels that FB is a platform suited to its needs. But there's quite a lot of world for which FB (and likes) doesn't offer the needed useability..
As such I'm not criticising FB; it has it's uses. But I see no reason to require or expect phpBB to keep FB users happy, and certainly not because of a false argument.
