Yeah, it would be pretty simple to do and I understand about RSS not being a big deal until fairly recently. I'm using a combination of the Fetch All mod and Feed43.com to generate a feed on my phpbb 2 site, but it doesn't always work well. Hopefully someone will do a nice RSS mod soon after Olympus goes to RC. Specifically, it needs to pull out not just new posts but new replies as well.

I am excited about the new version! I was poking around some more last night at my test installation and there is a lot there for moderators and admins. Bravo!

Very good but so much work to do to port my hard modded 2.0.21.

I don't like the "0=unlimited" philosophy ("Maximum signature links" set to 0 means unlimited links, but if I don't wan't links ?)

Any spam filter ? (by word of course, word censor should disable posts)
Any users list in the ACP ?

I agree, -1 would be better for unlimited. :)

There is the word censor, but thats about it.

Yes and no. Not a nice user list like the admin userlist mod, but you can go to "Find a member" when changing permissions/etc and it will bring up a list of all the members(and has a search section).

(I modified my msg) Word censor should optionally disable messages and email admin, hiding message untill admin approval. May be in the future

That wouldn't be hard to do with a mod. I don't think it will ever become standard though. :)

The image names for Beta 2 make So Much More Sense than the image names for Beta 1.

Thank you! :D

I just downloaded & installed phpbb 3 on my server, and all i can say is "wow!". I've been running a 2.0.20 forum for a few months, and i have to say that phpbb 3 is a major improvement from an administrator point of view. :D

Cant wait until i can go live with it

1 do a search that question has been asked countless times, if you can't be bothered well it will be ready when its ready

2 not sure what you mean there, if you are refering to being able to upgrade your DB from a standard install of phpbb2 then yes, if you mean still able to use your phpbb2 style after the upgrade, then the answer will be no unless the style itself has benn updated by the author to work with phpbb3
