You really do seem to be missing the point here. You can do what the heck you like with the copyright.
Remove it, edit it, make an image to replace it >>anything at all -but if it is not exactly as requested to be left then there is no support.

I also can not understand why this topic has run on for so long.
Leave the copyright and get support.
Remove it and get no support.
Play silly beggars and keep replacing it just to get the support and you eventually get a ban.

Simple isn't it?

A set of rules for all to follow if they want support. Not aimed at anyone in particular and the last bit refers to those that seek support, are refused as they do not have the copyright and then replace it just for the duration of their support topic and then remove it again.

Jim

Edit
I have checked your site and you would not get the support as the copyright is incomplete.

Yes, I do, as I clearly stated in my post. And as long as the phpBB Group won't define "good enough reasons" any further, I'll stick to that.

Yes I know, I fortfeit support, that's OK. I know what I'm doing - and I want to give phpbb.com credit for their work!

EDIT: After some thought I don't even forfeit support, so consider my statement hypothetical. :geek:

I ussually remove that footer text because I am still a "newb" scripter and I end up going to many of the files and changing alot of stuff. I take the base and custoimize so much that often you dont recognize it as its orignal place. I guess it is sort of "wrong" to take it off because its free, but definetly when I pay for something I do whatever I want because I paid for the "service/item/forum" and now its mine and im free to do what I wish with it.
