the change you are after is not in viewtopic_body.html, it's in content.css.
you want to look for .postbody and for .postprofile, and play with float: left, float: right, and border-left/border-right.
if done correctly, you'll need to modify about 3 lines.
good luck.
standard disclaimer:
backup your db and files before you do anything.
absolutely no guarantee.
if you do what i advise and it blows in your face, all you'll hear from me is: "ah... sorry, i guess"

doer wrote:as there is no support for the style so far, I am going to post my question about prosilver here,
the fonts used in prosilver doesn't support some characters of my language(mongolian), eventhough phpbb3 is in utf-8.

so i wanted to change all the default fonts to Arial(which supports my language), but result doesn't show up. there's still no effect that the .css files have changed, I even deleted the "theme" folder, but it was displayed as if there were the .css files.

what might be wrong with it?
You have to refresh the theme after you changed the stylesheet. You can do that in the Styles section of the admin control panel.

All final colours are in the file colours.css to make it easier to change them. We only assigned greyscale colours to the layout elements in the other styles to give people feedback when a colour is not assigned.

So you have to change the file colours.css to change the colour. We suggest you don't delete the other colour assignments, they are not necessary, but don't hurt either.

it might not be enough to clear the cache, as the style data is cached in the database, not the cache directory.
depending on some settings, you might need to refresh css data. to do that, go to ACP -> Styles -> Themes -> {YOUR_STYLE} -> Refresh.
then, you might also need to drop your browser's cache (in ff 2: Preferences -> Advance -> Network tab -> Cache -> Clear now)

alternatively, you could use the "style editor" in the ACP itself (ACP->Styles->Theme->{YOIUR-STYLE}->Edit), but i would strongly recommend against it, because whatever changes you do there are very volatile, and the next time the theme data will be "Refreshed" your changes will be history.
the style editor in the ACP is good for experimentation and some "quick and dirty" changes, but once you figure the changes that work for you, i strongly recommend to copy those changes to the actual files, because olympus might decide to wipe those changes and overwrite them with the file's content without warning or notice.
good luck! (and, as dhn noted, maybe the support forum is more suitable for this discussion).

I would like to say I like the new skin also. I have been using phpBB for a long time, but I don't think I have used these forums. (At least I can't remember my account info, if I did.) :)

I am still very confused on how this works...

I love the style and everything. I know this has probably been asked many times so I figured why not once more? How do I go about getting the prosilver style to work? I cannot get any icons to show up. I browsed this place left and right, up and down, even looked on other websites I clicked on with people's profiles. Still nothing. Can someone please help a newbie out. I am offering a three weeks cruise to the Bahama's for any help..you pay of course.

Thanks,
Pitler.

hi
in first congrats for this style.

two,three things with saying however,
i have some W3C errors with tiddy and others validators.
Only for roudered corners and their empty span

Code: Select all

			<div class="inner"><span class="corners-top"><span></span></span>
and family:

Code: Select all

			<span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
simple a &nbsp; like that :

Code: Select all

			<div class="inner"><span class="corners-top"><span>&nbsp;</span></span>
correct the problem, but I don't know if this way of making is correct .

the final result is very beautiful but "elitiste" enough for beginning members who will want to modify it or for templates creator.
let us have us to it hope to see a version more "light" (mods+styles) and easy to learn one of these days ?
thanks for reply ;)
