Long post times

Post by RMcGirr83 » Mon Apr 02, 2007 6:19 pm

Lately I have noticed that the time it takes to post a new topic or reply to a thread takes a very long time. I was able to copy the stats from a post I had just done not 2 seconds ago.
Time : 32.693s

32 seconds to parse?

Am I reading that correctly? Is this normal with phpbb3.0 or a snafu with the new server?

If not the correct place to be posted, please move.

Thanks.

I'm rather sure such times are more influenced by what this server is doing rather than the script itself. However, if there is a bottleneck, then hopefully it will be found quickly in the RCs :)

Don't misunderstand me...it's sporadic.

...and one that runs off a dedicated server as well. ;)

Sometimes there seems to be slowness... not sure why, that server should handle a lot more.
My theory is the DB/Apache setup they have... unless that has been changed, in which case, it’d be something else.

Now the question is... did this happen when phpBB.com was still phpBB2.0.x?

I occasionally get a slow post time on here, but in phpBB2 and phpBB3 the average has always been pretty quick
