Don’t worry, I think you’ll like the music that’s coming if you liked that one.
Track for ep #4 just didn’t fit a podcast.

So, bytecasts are going be it. I thought you were going to have bytecasts and the regular show. Either way is fine though. Just curious..

Technically, bytecasts are just short episodes of the regular show. We feel that shorter episodes that focus on only one topic are easier to take in. None of this is set in stone :)

Do you like the bytecasts more?

I personally like the bytecasts better cause the team spend more time on 1 subject.
Therefore it is easier listening indeed.

I like the bytecasts fine.. I wouldn't mind if you spent alittle more time on a subject. IMHO, podcasts in general should be at least 30 mins. One subject or multiple subjects, thats your call, that I have no problem with.

Maybe you can take a broad topic and break it up into a series of bytecasts. Like episode 7,8, and 9 are a series on helping style authors get the most out of their custom styles. What hasn't the been done yet or what can they do to make their style more unique than just changing the colors. Maybe have member/s of the style team as a guest on the show. You could do the same for mod authors give them a series of bytecasts. Obviously you can do a bigger series for mod authors. Or you could even break up the mod authors series into groups depending on the type of mod or something along those lines.

Just another few cents from me..

One podcast i'd like to see in the future is a run down of mods. Perhaps once phpbb3 modding has picked up speed, you could each mention a few particularly good mods that you think are worthy of our attention (unofficially of course). This would present an interesting angle on these mods, perhaps alerting us to usages. (This could of course be a "regular" feature at the end of a podcast, like a round up of the "modding news 8-) )

Plus, it might encourage mod authors and be a kind of "badge of merit". The phpbb modders are great: their hard work should be encouraged IMHO :P

Obviously, with phpbb3 being so new, this is kind of moot for the moment. It was just interesting to hear you guys talk of particular AJAX mods in Episode 2...

Keep it up: I enjoy listening to you guys

A couple of the guys are talking too close to the mic and blowing me out of the water with distortion. Need to fix that in the future.

Ron
