Thanks for all your hard work ladies and gents. This one is great. I did lose my previous board because I messed up something in the process but it was problematic anyways. If m users can understand I will live with it. If not then they have to live with it. I wish all who read this Merry Christmas and God Bless.

Yes, but as this is a discussion topic and not a support or MOD Author Discussion topic or forum, the question should be posted in the appropriate forum.

Thanks. :)

I agree with lyonzy

I just converted two phpBB2 forums to phpBB3 and the convertor works well, the resulting phpBB3 forums look pretty slick I must say (it does help to have a friendly and efficient host - they bailed me out twice during the process!!) ;)

but It's only when you begin posting and looking at the way phpBB3 works, by having a working phpBB3 forum, that you actually begin to see the work that has gone into the new version

there are many good features that have been included and these become apparent as your new forum moves along day to day

Congratulations to the people behind phpBB3, at one time it seemed like it was taking forever to get a Gold Release but now it's happened :WELL DONE!! :D

Great stuff. I've been using it (running it live at my own risk) since Beta 1. I've loved every minute and have hated some too, but I'm still vibrating from the excitement that 3.0.0 has released and that I have it running. :D

I have been using the phpbb system for a number of years. I just performed a fresh install of phpBB3 for a new project. I am very impressed. The overall polish and features are incredible!

Thank you for all of your hard work.

Hi phpBB team!

I must say i have used phpBB before when it was 1.0.x something and it was good then, i switched to a paid version vbulletin for functional use but found this was soon to be a rip off while IPB was free at the time.

Now after bringing my website back to life i decided that I could do with setting up a new community and had to think of a few boards to mind, of course I googled it and phpBB was right there.

I searched your website for functions and it looked as if it had what it needed to perform on my site, it did.

I downloaded it and went to install page and really liked that process. but once i logged in the admin panel was beautiful, crisp, well planned.

When i checked the board for the first time I was visually taken back with the beautiful layout and colours of 3.0.x

Great job! Keep up the work! if you need any bandwidth for download mirrors give me a shout!

ZOMG! :o

Duke Nukem Forever is just on the horizon :D Congrats to the phpBB team.

I converted to a certain commercial board beginning with v, as this didn't seem to be moving at the time, but it's very encouraging for any additional forums I may need to do in future. WTG. Looks pretty cool visually, too.
