integration

Post by spellbyte »

I am trying to integrate the registration process for the forum into my current site, I have successfully managed to get it so that when a user signs up it inserts into the "phpbb_users" table but when i try to login with that new user it tells me..

"The specified username is currently inactive. If you have problems activating your account, please contact a board administrator."

I have already got account activation turned off in the ACP, and also when i try to manually activate the new user in the ACP i cant find the name at all,it's like it was never registered yet i can see it in the phpbb_users table.

any help would be greatly appreciated as i simply love this new version of phpbb. keep up the good work guys

The second link on the Users & Groups ACP page is "Inactive users". Try that.

In all honesty you should just be redirect the users to the phpbb registration system and then on your site doing a cookie intergration.

Are you setting the user_type row to 0?

In constants.php:

Code: Select all

define('USER_NORMAL', 0);
define('USER_INACTIVE', 1);
define('USER_IGNORE', 2);
define('USER_FOUNDER', 3);
