I'll try to make it. But right now it looks like it would be about $1k for a plane ticket there (I looked around a bit)...so I'll be checking up on it every once in a while to see if the ticket prices drop a bit in the coming months.

out of curiousity, how is this related to phpbb3 only? wouldnt this be better fit for general discussion? (NOTE TO TEAM MEMBERS, NOT TRYING TO "MINI MOD", JUST FEEL THAT THIS PERTAINS TO BOTH VERSIONS)

I'm assuming it's because the conference is generally oriented at phpBB3, and because General Discussion, as per the forum description, is for non-phpBB related topics.

Way to be picky. It's in 3.0 Discussion because there's no "General phpBB Discussion" forum. "General Discussion" is in the "Non-phpBB specific" category and this very much pertains to phpBB. I would also be very surprised if more than a few words are said regarding phpBB 2.0.x, which will be much closer to the end of its life in July. This topic is also linked from the announcement, so I really don't see a problem
