For Polish (PL) version, it should be Tworzenie społeczności.

Is there any news about how the T-shirt is coming along? I think it's a really cool idea and can't wait to order one :)

That's a bit of a clumsy transliteration as it would mean "creating (ie: founding) society"... thing is, society already exists. The existing team-only shirt has 連接社區 (or rather, 连接社区 as it was in eew-yuck simplified script), which has a better & more natural sounding "connecting communities". Now that's Mandarin dialect... with Cantonese, you can also do 創作社區, which mean "creating (ie: inspired to create) communities".

I am doing investigative work on behalf of phpBB... though don't think will be able to get them "out there" in time for an X'mas rush.

Now with a whole bunch of Latin scripts plus the token Chinese & Arabic on the team-only shirt... I'dpersonally like to see some other scripts, so at least:

Russian (Cyrillic), Greek (duh, Greek), Hebrew (duh, Hebrew), Korean (Hangul), Japanese (Kanji+Katakana+Hiragana), Hindi (Sanskrit)... anyone feeling up for it? :P

That's quite useless, you can use this tool to make out the context of a text in a foreign language. But it will hardly have the feeling of a native speaker.

Nobody wants exact translations here, it's better when the phrase sounds good in the local language and keeps the message it's supposed to bear. Sometimes you use different conjuctions, different word types and so on. A computer translation will do more damage than good :)

And what more, this is a chance to prove that phpBB has supporters all over the world :)

Thanks for the help.

I'll think about the best phrasing for this. There isn't really an eloquent translation for "communities" that doesn't imply something else.

There is an old script for Hungarian, it is not even in the Unicode, but I attach an image of it here in case you are interested.
Creating communities in Hungarian ("Közösségeket teremtünk") using and old Hungarian script ("rovásírás")

Hmm.. Well, the context of "creating communities" implies we do, so wouldn't создаем общины work (taking the relevant bits from the phrase мы создаем общины)?

That is indeed what I first though, but "общины" doesn't exactly imply communities in the sense of forums. It would also have to be "мы создаем общины", because the tense does not imply subject. It sounds weird without the "мы".
