[EVENT] Bertie joins his phpBB & Joomla! buddies @ LinuxTag Berlin

Hi, it's Bertie!

I'm writing to you from my first day at the LinuxTag exhibition in Berlin - or as I like to call it - Bearlin. Yesterday Jon and I arrived here, coming from Hong Kong, where some of my friends are still waiting to be adopted by you. We both were a bit tired after the trip - so I can't show you any impressions from Berlin right now - but there are still a few days left to do so.

phpBB shares a booth with the Joomla! project in Berlin as you can see on the photo.

Today Jon, Nils, Philipp and I are at the booth and answer any questions visitors ask about phpBB or the Joomla! integration. Since I'm not too familiar with Joomla my buddies from Joomla! will help me should I be stuck as a bear in in a pot of honey!

Stay tuned for some more news form LinuxTag within the next day. LinuxTag has opened till Saturday and you can meet lots of projects like Ubuntu, Fedora, KDE, Drupal or OpenOffice there.

I had a trip around the exihibition area and visited some of my friends. Tux was very busy - he jumped from booth to booth while I walked around the exhibition halls. But I got him at the KDE booth and we talked a bit wih Konqi about the new KDE 4 and its new features.

Tonight is the LinuxNacht where all the project members meet each other. Hope I don't get too drunk tonight so that I will be able to send you some more news tomorrow.

Hi, it's Bertie again.

We had a nice evening at LinuxNacht yesterday and had some German beer and wine. Most of the team was a bit tired (mostly Ashley who spent too much time in supporting you) and so none of us have a hangover today.

So let's have a closer look to the phpBB-booth. Here you can see me with the Joomla!-Bridge which allows an integration of phpBB with Joomla!. Also have a nice look at the laptop DELL provided us for LinuxTag.

But the booths beside us are quite interesting, too. So I had a visit at MythTV and watched some TV:

Who , i must admit phpBB team , personally i think the leaflet and the placard on the wall of the booth are really beautiful made.
